Education

B.S. Chemistry, Univ. of Pittsburgh I studied organic chemistry and materials science engineering. I am very well studied in both of these subjects and have tutored science and mathematics for over 10 years. M.S. Petroleum Engineering, LSU I worked as a teaching assisstant during my time. I taught classes in Reservoir Engineering, Production, Drilling, and Completions. I also tutored students in subjects related to the Fundamental Engineering exam: Statics, Dynamics, Fluid Mechanics etc... I also helped students with Statistics and modeling.

Experience

I worked as a tutor during my B.S. tutoring in Chemistry I & II and Organic Chemistry I & II at the collegiate level. During my M.S. degree I was a teaching assistant in the Petroleum Engineering department where I taught Production Engineering, and Reservoir Engineering. I also have experience teaching at the high school level in AP Chemistry, AP Physics, and Calculus I. I have tutored for standardized tests prep as well: SAT, ACT, GRE, SATII etc.. I have found that practice is important, but guided practice is the most effective way of building a strong foundation for success in Mathematics. Whether the student is studying for an exam or a standardized test, there is always an effective way to study and we can find it together. The STEM field are challenging , but with the right person anyone can conquer them. I don't believe there is such a thing as "being good at science and math." Rather, it's all about where your interests are. I am very interested in Science and Engineering and find that my students always enjoy learning from an engaged, and passionate person. It is still about hard work, studying, and homework, but it's also about finding the correct fit of a teacher/tutor. A person who enjoys their subject, like me, will always go the extra distance with the student. There are countless tutors out there, but I encourage students to find the tutor that they want to learn from because that's the one you will learn the most from.
